Who is responsible

Information we handle

• Account information: your email address, name, account identifiers and authentication information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies basic identity information such as your name, email address and profile image. Google sign-in does not authorize access to your Gmail, Analytics or Search Console. Connecting Search Console or Google Analytics is a separate choice, described under Google user data.
• Your business and content: the website you enter, information extracted from its public pages, onboarding answers, brand preferences, article topics, drafts, revisions and generated images. You can correct suggested business information.
• Subscription records: your chosen plan, trial and billing status, transaction identifiers and usage allowance. Stripe processes payment details through its hosted checkout and billing portal. KiwiRank does not collect your full card number in its own application.
• Service records: requests, job progress, delivery failures, security and access logs, and feedback you submit. These records help us operate the service, investigate errors and prevent misuse.
• Optional measurement: website and product events, campaign attribution and masked session recordings (analytics), and advertising conversion information (advertising measurement). Both are on by default, and you can turn either off. See your choices.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, save your settings and work, research your website, generate the content you request, deliver account messages, manage subscriptions and usage, and maintain the security and reliability of KiwiRank. Optional analytics help us understand product use; optional advertising measurement helps us understand which campaigns lead to signups and subscriptions.

Please do not enter passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information or confidential information you are not authorized to share into article prompts, business descriptions or feedback.

Services that process information for us

KiwiRank uses Cloudflare for hosting, background processing and file storage; Supabase for account authentication and application data; Resend for authentication email delivery; and Stripe for payment processing. Website research uses ScrapingBee. Article writing and brand-kit analysis use Anthropic’s Claude models. Article images are generated through fal.ai, using OpenAI and ByteDance image models. Some onboarding research uses Google model services, and website icons may be fetched through Google’s favicon service. Relevant prompts, business context and research extracts are sent to the provider performing that task.

PostHog processes product analytics and masked session recordings, and Meta receives advertising conversion information. Both are on by default, and you can turn either off in Privacy choices. We also disclose information when needed to comply with applicable legal obligations or protect the service and its users.

Providers may process information in countries different from yours. Their handling of information is subject to their applicable service and privacy terms. You can read the Google privacy policy and Stripe privacy policy.

If you connect an AI assistant (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) or use an API key, the data you ask for is sent to that assistant or program. Its own provider’s privacy terms apply to what it does with that data. We keep a log of API and assistant activity for your website, visible in Settings.

Google user data

A workspace owner can connect Google Search Console, and optionally Google Analytics, to see their own website’s traffic in KiwiRank. Each is a separate Google consent, and KiwiRank asks only for read-only access: it cannot change, add or delete anything in your Google account.

• Search Console (scope webmasters.readonly): the list of Search Console properties your Google account can see, and for the property you choose, search performance data (clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, by day, search query and page) and the Google index status of pages KiwiRank published for you.
• Google Analytics (scope analytics.readonly, only if you also connect it): the list of Analytics accounts, properties and their web data streams, and for the property you choose, Google Analytics 4 report data (sessions, users, engaged sessions, key events, channels, traffic sources and landing pages). Connecting Google Analytics is paused at the moment: KiwiRank does not ask for this access, and it reads no Analytics data, including through a connection made earlier.

How we use it. We use this data only to show you your own website’s figures in KiwiRank: the Traffic page, your workspace overview and how your KiwiRank articles perform. Only owners of that workspace can see it. We do not use it for any other purpose.

How we store it. Google’s access tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are saved, and are used only by our servers. The figures we read are saved in our database so your pages load quickly, refreshed about once a day, and kept until you disconnect Google in KiwiRank or delete the website. Our hosting and database providers (Cloudflare and Supabase) process this data only to run KiwiRank for you.

What we never do. We do not sell Google user data or share it with anyone else. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not send it to our analytics or advertising providers; if you allow session recordings, the text of your workspace pages, these figures included, is masked in your browser before anything is recorded. We do not use it to train or improve AI or machine-learning models, and we do not send it to the AI services that write articles. People at KiwiRank do not read it, except with your permission (for example, when you ask for support), when needed for security, such as investigating abuse, or when the law requires it.

Removing access. Use Disconnect Google on the Traffic page in KiwiRank: it deletes the stored tokens and every Google figure KiwiRank saved for that website. You can also remove KiwiRank’s access in your Google Account under Security › Third-party access, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting in KiwiRank does not withdraw the access at Google, because Google’s withdrawal applies to every website connected with the same Google account; removing it at Google stops KiwiRank reading any new data; figures already saved stay until you disconnect Google in KiwiRank or ask us to delete them.

KiwiRank’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies, local storage and your choices

Essential browser storage keeps you signed in, saves your setup progress and remembers privacy choices. Optional analytics and advertising measurement are on by default. We do not show a consent banner.

To turn either off, open Privacy choices. It is in the footer of the KiwiRank website, under the sign-up and log-in forms, in the account menu during setup, and at the bottom of the screen elsewhere in KiwiRank. Choose Reject optional, or untick Analytics or Advertising measurement and choose Save choices. Turning measurement off stops future optional collection; it does not undo processing that already occurred.

We keep the choice you save, including a rejection. Your browser remembers it for 180 days, and when you are signed in it is also saved with your account. If the choice in your browser expires or is cleared, measurement is on again until you choose again; when you sign in, the choice saved with your account applies. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, optional measurement is not turned on by default.

You can also clear browser storage or sign out. Clearing storage may remove unsaved setup progress and remembered privacy choices.

Your content and retention

We retain account, content and operational information as needed to provide the service, keep your work available, investigate failures and meet applicable legal obligations. Ending generation access or canceling a subscription does not automatically erase your saved articles. You can export your content and contact us to request account or data deletion. Some records may need to be retained for security, billing or legal reasons.

Access, correction and deletion

You can edit available account and business settings in KiwiRank and export your articles. Contact support@kiwirank.com to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a portable copy of your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

You can remove KiwiRank’s Google sign-in access from your Google Account connections. Removing that connection does not delete your KiwiRank account or saved articles; contact us to request deletion.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revised date. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice through the service or your account contact details.
