Build with KiwiRank
The KiwiRank API lets your own code read and act on your website’s KiwiRank data: pull finished articles into your CMS, ask for new ones, and keep your content plan in step with the rest of your marketing.
Who can use it
The API is part of every KiwiRank plan. Scale has higher limits: 240 requests a minute instead of 60, and 50,000 a day. The website’s owner makes the keys.
Make an API key
Open Settings › API & MCP
Choose the website first: a key belongs to one website.
Name it and pick its access
Use a name you will recognise in the activity list, such as “Nightly sync”. Read only keys only read; Full access keys can also request articles and change the content plan.
Copy it once
The key starts with
kr_live_and is shown only once. Store it as a secret on your server, for example in an environment variable.
export KIWIRANK_API_KEY="kr_live_…"Keep keys on your server
Anyone with a key can use it until you revoke it. Never put one in a web page, a mobile app or a public repository.Your first request
Ask for the website the key belongs to. If the key works you get the website and its plan back. The answer below is shortened: Get the website shows all of it.
